Babylon 5: Steincorp Station

Steincorp Station is a one-shot Babylon 5 live-action RPG, and you're invited to join in the fun!

You will have the option to join us as a member of Steincorp's administrative staff, or as a soldier of the Earth Alliance, or perhaps a resident diplomat - even a slumming Centarii noble, if that's what you fancy. One way or another, you have a reason to be at this place, at this time. You might even be willing to share those reasons - for the right price....

Game Locale
The Marriot hotel in San Ramon, CA.
More accurately, a conference room, two private rooms and probably the bar, and maybe even the hot-tub, too... The Marriot is a gamer-friendly hotel and the crew of Chuckling Cthulhu has built up a good relationship with the Marriot staff, so they've gotten used to us running around wearing funny outfits and making declarations like "If I'm not Emperor by sunset, heads will roll!". So it's a good place for us to be.

Schedule
This event is planned for Saturday, September 15th, 2001. This is  a new date, to accommodate last minute scheduling fubars.

Joining The Game, Obtaining a Character, Etc.
This is a live-action event set within J. Michael Straczynski's Babylon 5 universe - albeit some time before the beginning of the television show. Familiarity with the show is recommended, as the GMs of Chuckling Cthulhu will not bring you up to speed.

The deadline to join this event has passed. If you're certain that you will just die without playing in this game, drop us a line and convince us why we would should uproot the almost-set plot to accommodate a late-arriving character. Given that we have yet to break even for this event, we might be open minded. Dues for latecomers are $25.

Logistics
We will be using a modified version of Cthulhu Live 2nd edition for character creation and rules. The system is very easy to learn and we'll be happy to teach  newcomers - it takes about thirty minutes to get the hang of it.

Costuming
A limited amount of costuming has been provided for those players who have paid for it - $35 dollars to play, rather than $20. If you are looking to outfit your own B5 event, please take a look at our Babylon 5 costuming tips for our assembled tips.

Legal stuff: Babylon 5 is the property of J.Michael Strazynski, Warner Brothers and a whole bunch other people who are not us and they have lots of flesh-eating lawyers, to boot. This event is merely respectful homage. We really love lawyers - we didn't mean the flesh-eating comment, honest! Please don't sue...
The original concept of Steincorp Station belongs to a buddy of Chuckling Cthulhu - namely Dale Andrade and his pal (who's name the webmistress has forgotten, and she's profoundly sorry about that). In early 2000, Dale & Co. gave Chuckling Cthulhu permission to take the idea and run with it - so we did! But massive and profound thanks is owed to them, because otherwise we never would have thought of running a B5 event!
