So, What's With the Name?
It's a long, inside joke that involves the web-host for this site - Laughing Squid - plus a few beers and the fact that the crew of this troupe want you to know that, while we want to put together some fabulous, engrossing events, we're having fun while doing it. We've also got a rather quirky sense of humor - keep that in mind if you find yourself up to your knees in green slime during one of our events... |

An ongoing, dynamic collective,
Chuckling Cthulhu primarily consists of Alex Baker and Johanna Mead. Other
recurring assistants include the likes of Dave Webb, Logan Waterman, Kirk
and Lisa Eichler, Kevin Jones, Colette Campbell and Sarah and Christopher
Kindred. Useless bios will follow shortly.
It is our intention to run events that emphasize suspense - rather than blood-and-guts horror. Combined with carefully crafted character-driven plots, Chuckling Cthulhu's events will be worthy of rememberance! |

About Alex and Johanna
Alex and Johanna have been married since 1999 when they realized they each had far too many interests held in common to let the other get away. They met at a LARP in mid-1996 and have not yet seen any reason to give up a hobby that has proven satisfying so far.
Alex has been a GM of assorted games - tabletop and live action - for nearly twenty years - since his mother introduced him to Dungeons and Dragons, in fact. As a long-time addict to the writing of HP Lovecraft and a player of all flavors of Chaosium's Cthulhu RPG, Alex comes to Chuckling Cthulhu as a former GM of Serious Moonlight, as well as several Vampire LARPs in California and Alabama.
Johanna considers herself an enlightened optimist, an incipient meglomaniac and a raconteuse. The rest of the time, she's sober.
Johanna considers herself a late-bloomer, as RPGs go, having not discovered the hobby until she was an old maid of seventeen. Since then, she has GMd a variety of tabletop and live action crews, most notably the Vampire LARP Diablo's Children and
the Cthulhu troupe Serious Moonlight.
