Valley Of The Kings
It's 1926, a time when the world seemed full of endless possibility and wonder. The fabulous wealth of Tutankhamun's tomb boggles the mind, and the sheer beauty of the exquisite relics of that dead empire have beguiled many an eye throughout Great Britain. Now, Egyptology is all the rage - and a booming business, as everyone is looking for a bit of Pharonic grace to add an exotic sparkle to their lives.

The small article in an American newspaper had gone unnoticed. A professor at the University of New York has speculated that the tomb recently discovered by Carter et al was not that of the boy king, Tutankhamun. Perhaps even more fabulous treasure lies buried in the sand, just waiting for someone to find it?

And find it you will. Just last month you joined a newly-formed expedition to hunt for the real tomb of Tutankhamun in the sere desert near the Valley of the Kings. Who knows what kind of secrets you might find as you retrace the steps of the eternal Pharaohs?

Player Notes

Game Locale
Undecided. At the moment, it seems most like that it will occur on private property (the GM's house) or possibly Tilden Park. Following some scenery fracas, it has been decided that Valley of the Kings will not be an overnight campout event, as previously thought. This event will be of approximately eight hours' duration.

Schedule
This game has not yet been scheduled. This is another one that has been on our 'to-do' list for a long time, and we would like to see it happen eventually. It will certainly be during the warmer months of the year, we're just not sure which year that will be... Please join our mailing list to hear about further developments

Joining The Game
Valley of the Kings is recommended for Call of Cthulhu players who are a little bit nuts for history. The GMs are, and they're going all out with the period setting and Egyptological flavor of the plot. 

This event is limited to twenty players. If you are interested in joining this game, please drop us a line, including your name, age, phone number and mailing address. We'll get in touch with you when a date for the game has been finalized. 

Players must be over 18 to join this event. 

Dues and Requirements
The dues will be $25/person, to cover the extensive scenery and prop needs of this event. We really don't want to cut corners and have our Egyptian temple fall on you halfway through the event!

Logistics
We will be using of Cthulhu Live!, 2nd edition to create characters and handle mechanics. All characters will be given an extensive background and information to use in-game.

Costuming
 We are nuts for costuming, and we hope you are, too! We want to encourage best-effort for period-costuming for this event - especially since we are going to be photographing it, throughout. Nothing ruins the mood more than seeing a pair of Nikes in a supposedly 1920's scene... 
      As the game date approaches, we will be giving more detailed advice on costuming. For the moment, take a look at our costuming page. Honestly, it probably won't be as difficult as you imagine, given that you are dressing for the great outdoors, not a society party - although there are still some old fashioned chaps who will dress for dinner, even in the desert... ;)
