I Left My Hearts In San Francisco

As final-year students at the prestigious Rassilon Academy, you are only one step away from attaining a coveted place amongst the Time Lords. You have to complete your final project and then you will graduate with full honors. The Time Lords are most intelligent, most privileged beings on Gallifrey and, by extension, the galaxy. You have worked long and hard, and the final prize is within your reach.

However, your final project will not be a matter of simple routine. You and your classmates - plus a Time Academy professor, of course - will be embarking on a field trip to an unknown destination. Once arrived, you must gather data without disturbing the subject race and prepare a complex and lengthy report for the Academy's archives, all without disturbing the planet's natives - if there are any. This is no meaningless busywork, as the galaxy is teeming with worlds unexplored by the separatist Time Lords and your trip will add another valuable nugget information to the Great Library.

Still, you're confident that you'll pass this Final Exam with flying colors. Providing nothing goes wrong, of course. But what could go wrong...?

We've got to admit it... With our backlog of great ideas, we're not sure when this event will happen. Join our mailing list to be kept informed.

Joining The Game
I Left My Hearts in San Francisco is recommended for Dr. Who afficionados. If you are not familiar with this show, do not expect the Chuckling Cthulhu crew to bring you up to speed.
This game will be limited to ten players.

Dues
The cost for this event has not been determined, but the current estimate is $25 per person.

Logistics
We will be using a modified version of Cthulhu Live, 2nd edition for this event.

Costuming
The theme of this game is 'campy-fun' - as opposed to the usual twisted thrillers Chuckling Cthulhu has to offer. With that in mind, there are no limits on costuming. You may wear whatever you think a Time Academy student from Gallifrey would wear on a field trip. Keep in mind that, in-character, you do not know where you are going for the Field Trip. Depending upon the TARDIS's closets for a suitable outfit could have interesting results, as the Academy has a reputation for using cast-off equipment... Also keep in mind that this game will be sending you out onto the streets of San Francisco. Have fun, but keep it somewhat practical. Also take a look at a few tips for Dr. Who costuming that Johanna has assembled.

Legal stuff: Dr. Who is the property of the BBC and a whole bunch other people who are not us and they have lots of flesh-eating lawyers, to boot. This event is merely respectful homage. We really love lawyers - we didn't mean the flesh-eating comment, honest! Please don't sue us...
